Peter Oburo Jr. is 45 years old. He was born in Mbula village, Tororo District, in the then West Budama area in Eastern Uganda. He got saved while in Senior Five at Makerere College School. Soon after this, he got involved in God’s work, going out to preaching the gospel in other schools and among his people in the village. He is married to Ziropah and they have three children. He is also a Deacon and a torch bearer in the evangelism ministry at Makerere Deliverance Church.
I am so privileged to have the opportunity to say a few things concerning the work of the Lord; the ministry of Deliverance Church and its impact on our community in Tororo District where I have served for the last 27 years. I got saved in July 1980 through my sister Susan, who now lives in Australia. She was staying at UCC Nakawa then, and one evening when I felt the conviction to give my life to the Lord, my sister immediately directed me to the church where she worshipped, and that happened to be Deliverance Church, and the only existing branch was meeting at City Hall (current KCC offices). After my school in Kampala, I went back to Tororo and joined Tororo Deliverance Church, where I got deeply involved in ministry with Deliverance Church.
