Background
DC Masaka started in 1992 in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic that hit the region leaving shattering families and leaving so many orphans. Convicted by the Lord Pr. Balam Luswata started the church which has grown to the current size of  100 adults and 200 children over the years the church has been able to groom leaders and ministers of the gospel who have gone out to work in several places around the World. Younger churches are emerging out of the ministry, notably DC Kayunga, and DC Kigenya. The Church has also grown some community development projects; JOY Youth and Goats Project Kayunga, Maranatha JOY School Masaka Municipality. JOY Child Development Project, and. In 2008, DC Masaka changed leadership from Pr. Balam Luswata to Pr. Christopher Kasagga.

Needs
    Purchase of plot next to the church hall to create space for children’s church and bible classes which classes can be used as secondary school
    Finishing of the church hall and kitchen
    The primary section structures are still temporary ( permanent structures are needed)
    Developing young leaders into mature ministers
    Empowering families in parenting and family life in general
    Strengthening of the ministries in Kayunga and Kigenya.
    Need to have an income generating project in either livestock or poultry to help the children we to develop hands on skills to help them develop
    DC Kigenya needs land for the church hall and shelter for children
