DELIVERANCE CHURCH JINJA
CHURCH PROFILE
Deliverance church Jinja is a local church part of Deliverance church Uganda. Deliverance church is an indigenous Pentecostal church that began in 1967.The ministry now has over 130 churches located over the country. Over 250,000 people are active members of the Deliverance church ministry. This ministry has been actively preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in cities, villages, tertiary institutions, hospitals, prisons and to the whole strata of society.
Over the years, the ministry has grown to ministering to the whole man. The various strategies include:
• Schools
• Medical clinics
• AIDS patients care initiatives and counseling
• Evangelism and discipleship
• Education and care of orphans
• Water drilling
• Poverty alleviation projects like Goat multiplication
Deliverance church Jinja itself began in 1975, being the second Deliverance church in Uganda after Kampala and the first one in the Eastern Region and Busoga in particular. To date, there are now more than 40 Deliverance churches in Busoga with Deliverance Church Jinja as the mother Church.
Our compassion and driving force as a church is to know Christ and make Him known locally, nationally and globally. As dogma, we insist on back to the Bible truth.

MISSION
Deliverance Church exists to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole person in the power of the Holy Spirit through preaching, teaching, equipping, deliverance and social development; and to be a prophetic voice to the nations
ADMINISTRATION:
Deliverance Church Jinja is run by a council of elders of whom the pastor is the chief elder and chairman.
There is a Deacons Board with an arch deacon as the chairman. This is answerable to the elders’ council.
Finance committee is chaired by one of the elders and is charged with resourcing, stewardship, budgeting, disbursement and accounting of the church funds.
The Development committee is chaired by an elder and charged with planning and spearheading all church projects.
The evangelism committee is chaired by an elder and is charged with formulation, organization and implementation of evangelistic, follow up, discipleship and training strategies.
The children department is under the Sunday school staff charged with the welfare of children of all calibers.

Every department is led by a committee that develops vision, formulates plans and activities in consonant with the church vision. The departments include:
